Now I am usually not the type of person that has longer periods of feeling down and gray, but I do have my days. When these days come I know I can turn to sport for some type of relief. Being a sports person for the majority of my life, its safe to say that something about sport or working out calms me down and lets me think more than say watching a movie or reading a book. Honestly I can't explain what it is, but when I train i get this sense of accomplishment, the feeling that I really can push myself to the absolute limit without worrying about the consequences and from that point on everything seems to be better.
Maybe its the sound of heavy weights hitting the floor after an intense weightlifting workout, or putting all your anger and emotions behind every kick in Muay Thai/Kickboxing. Maybe its the feeling that you put your heart and soul into your training and that the streams of sweat running down your face are proof that you can be your best when you want to be. What ever it is it works for me, and may even work for you. I leave you with this quote and a video. Remember stay safe and stay healthy!
Believe
in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but
reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or
happy.
